NYUMBA YA MBURI

A group of hikers go on a journey to explore the hidden regions of Mt. Kenya. 

On their first hike, they visit the historical Nyūmba ya Mbūri caves where Kenya's freedom fighters hid from colonialists. We are transported to the past where a group of initiates take an oath to join the Mau Mau (freedom fighters). 

Coming back to the present day, the hikers venture further up the mountain where reality, history and mythology begin to intertwine, blurring the line between fantasy and reality.
